Our adventure

Today we went on an adventure to Lake Ngatu to plant some native trees its the second part of our environment learning. First was learning about ways we could help and protect the environment now were doing those ways. Summit forests and Bush lands trust collected around 1000 plants for us to grow on a sand slope area. At first I had no clue how to take the plants out or dig a deep hole but it only got better I completed a few and got the hang of it this was turning out to be quite some fun. We stopped to get a picture and got back to work I realised at the top there was a lovely whisk of breeze and a beautiful view so I decided to plant up there. At the area their lived some big trees but the district council decided that if they fell they could badly injure a person so they cut them down so there were some big stumps enough to fit all the students. When the job was done we stopped for a picnic on the shoreline. After we came back to school, back to learning.
